Who is 1311 Custom Leather?

I am often asked what the 1311 stands for. It is quite simple. It stands for my initials MK. The letter M is the 13th letter of the alphabet and the letter K is the 11th. 

1311 Custom Leather evolved from some stress management techniques I developed while I was deployed to Iraq in 2010 with the US Army. I started making knives with scrap metal I found. The owner of a tattoo/art studio that I knew asked me if I would put some of the knives on display in his gallery. At that point, all I had was a few knives with no sheaths. I decided that I needed to create some sheaths for the knives. I instantly fell in love with tooling and manipulating leather.

When we agree on a price and I have received payment, I will create your item. I usually have a four to six week turn around. However, I get many items done prior to that.
